"Nice!!!"

This game is cool, too bad it's a flash so it's short. I would like to see a sequel with more buildings and LARGER MAPS!

And i think you could change difficulties...with robocracy you can't possibly lose, with kleptocracy you can't possibly win.

Detective Grimoire

"Funny but too easy"

submission: Detective Grimoire
date: July 13, 2007

1- This just look more like a point-and-click game than an investigation game: you just have to click on unusual things (too evidents), on people, on the arrows to move and on questions. Then the detective does everything on his own.

2- i think there are not concretes proofs that mark everyone innocency: the detective choose to trust everybody on his own as well. The cleaner is considerated innocent just because is a boy and because, as he says, he has got a crush on the girl (i don't remember her name), who says that had studied all evening long and met with the cleaner before calling the police. They could be murder and accomplice, the first in order to take the fun house, the second to get her beloved's heart. Instead the murder is that idiot that leaves in the bin his tool and makes useless paintings in the toilet (still i don't understand why did he take the green pen).
What i do mean is that there are not enough proof to say istantly who is innocent or not, simply is the game itself that mark who is innocent and who is still suspected. this confirm what did i say in the first point.

3- how did the murderer manage to lure his victim (while the clown and the other man were arguing), kill him (he could also have screamed), clean the oil spot, run with the weapon, hide the weapon squeezing in the funhouse trough that little hole (at his age it could be difficult), hide the weapon and then run away without getting spotted? there were still lot of people overthere. Not forgetting that he had to crush a mirror and that's not a very silent thing to do.

4- who the heck is that girl? why is alone, at her age, at night, in a wretched environment like that, which is also the scene of a murder??? and she knows everything, why do not add her as a suspect and interrogate her too?? this is illogical. She is simply a deus ex machina that reveals the only difficult (if it's possible to call it difficult...i mean, that was the first thing i noticed) thing in the game. then she disappear. Then, a detective should have the map given by a policeman, that would be logical.

5- You could also add a scene showing the reactions of everyone when the murderer is spotted, and a "what happened later" scene, that would have been funny.

You could make another case of detective grimoire, where the player has the possibility of making his own way of thinking, maybe of making his own personal notes. And, where you have to say who is the murderer and what did exactly happen, you explain your opinions, and eventually, you can fail completely and you have to start again your investigation. Very usefull, in this case, would be tha saving option :)
A difficult game is often a good game...you could add a walktrough link in the notes, i noticed that many games have this option.

Anyway, this game woths a play, because is good to pass an hour.

P.S.: i liked that eye interrogation thing, but it was too easy as well. You simply have to wait the flash, then move the mouse, and you can do it only when you ask a certain question. You should be able to do that everytime, and make decision according to the answers. You could solve nothing, but you tried. Is a detective's job, and detective sometimes fail. Also, remove that flash, it makes the eyes interrogation an horrible waste of ideas. And least, the whole thing was damnly slow.

Caravaneer

"Cool game!"

submission: Caravaneer

That's the kind of game i prefer: original and impegnative. However, you could make the battles faster (just like adding a button that increase speed of people) and add something for travels (items like compass or binoculars to see before robbers or events like desert storms).
And, by the way, sometimes, expecially during battles, the game stopped completely...and i had all my other applications and programs in my computer turned off.
But afterall this game can give lot of fun, can't wait for a second version :D

P.S: i found the tutorial very clear and explicative, even also reading the instructions was much different from starting the game...i starved two times at the beginning :P

I think this your best madness work: it's long, it's not just a bunch of noises like for exemple madness 5 and it gives a pleasant effect when listened because the choise and combination of sounds rocks.
I'm sure krinkles' videos wouldn't be so amazing without your music.
